The main purpose of the project was to create sufficient daylight profusion indoors. The existing ground floor (approximately 10 m²) was dark and was mainly used as storage. Enough daylight improves the physical health and the emotional quality of the house and benefits the growth of home plants.

EXTENSION

The ground storey connects with the generous street sidewalk with a frontyard garden. We re-used and relocated the existing façade to the lower front of the house. The new living/kitchen increased the surface and usability of the ground floor.

KITCHEN RELOCATION

We have reassembled & repositioned the existing kitchen from the first floor to the ground floor. In this way we improved the natural light and ventilation. Additionally we have avoid some costs.
